The kids love this guys DVD's and he played at Compass. The Laabs kids were in the front row and knew the words to every song.

Stay Home Day with Dad
Of course I don't write about ALL the stay home days that mom has...but we try to make it interesting. Veda's school was cancelled, so we couldn't sit around, she had to do her 'circuit training'...10 reps up and down the stairs, read a chapter in a book and then a drink break.

Michigan Ice Fishing
We stayed in Frankfort, MI on Crystal Lake with the guys in the neighborhood. Definitely a great time, although we got snowed out Day 2 (technically it was because winds were over 40 mph and the ice tents wouldn't stand up anymore). Led to an interesting 10 hr drive home.
Breakfast Buddy
New Years Day at Subway...although Adele opted for a ham & cheese w/ pickles & olives at 9am.

Girl Scout Cookies
Since she wasn't able to come down to the office to sell her cookies, I asked her write down on paper why people should buy cookies from her. This is what she came up with...

Grandma Ann's Christmas
Thankfully we were able to make it to our extended Laabs family christmas this year with Grandma Ann. Being the two youngest kids, Winston and Adele happily helped Grandma open up her gifts this year.
Great Grandma's Sewing Chair
This was pretty cool. Great Grandma Rose Hackbarth had this chair passed on to her and then she passed on to my Grandma Ann. Still has the note on the inside to make sure it landed in the right hands.
Homemade Ice Cream
Before leaving Clear Lake, the kids got to make some homemade strawberry ice cream with Papi and then Winston got to open an early birthday present.
Wannabe Farmers
Over Christmas we were able to visit some of my parents friends, the Hiscocks at their farm. Winston and Hud got to ride in the tractor and Adele got to chase cats for a couple hours.
