2015 Opening Night at The Landing
Wish we could have been there, but we will be there over Memorial Day weekend. Should be another great year.
Movie Time
A favorite past time of mine (and also of the girls)...going to the movie theatre. Mom happily passes on these, but we tend to see every new kids movie that comes out. Always a good excuse to eat popcorn and chill out in front of the big screen.
How to Remove a Mousetrap
While at our friend Luke & Emily's house, Adele wandered into a mousetrap (the sticky kind)? Don't ask how, we just say 'that's Adele'...After plenty of beer and vegetable oil, we were able to remove it.
Zoo Visits and Yard Work
Are weekends are typically pretty busy, even if we don't have much going on. This particular one we visited the Cincinnati zoo, right in the prime of tulip season. The kids love all the different exhibits, from the snake/reptile room, to the monkeys, to the manatees, polar bears and lions. Always plenty to see. After that, we spent the rest of the day putting down new mulch. Winston & Adele alway love to help when it comes to yard work. The picture at the bottom is our regular moving routine, where Winston follows me with his ATV while I mow in circles. Good times....
We Like Worms & Skating
Just Adele and Winston being themselves. Digging up mulch after our long roadtrip, Adele and Winston were able to find lots of little worms or 'snakes'. No idea why kids love worms so much, but they are absolutely fascinated by them...
Spring Break Roadtrip (Madison)
Night #5 at the Ehler's house in Madison with Didi and Papi. The big kids got a well deserved night on the town where we went to the Old Fashioned (a long standing hotspot in Madison that makes great, you guessed it, Old Fashioneds). Later that night Winston turned himself into a hat for Papi and then the next day we did a big Easter egg hunt for the kids.
Spring Break Roadtrip (Minneapolis)
Night #1 at Todd & Alecia Nickell's house. The kids had a blast playing with Hudson & Sienna's toys (and oogling over the new baby). Night #2 at Brandon and Nicole Trigger's house, where we did a night out on the town, while the kids tormented a helpless babysitter at the Trigger house. Day 3 we spent time at our old hangouts around Lake Harriet while the kids played on the playground (and of course a stop at Hello Pizza for a photo op). Night #3 at Clare & Mike's house where the kids again had a blast. Kathy got her hair by Clare done, while Todd and Mike watched the kids (and ventured out for dinner on their own). Night #4 at the Sherman's house with Matt, Betsy, Cade and Drew before heading off for Madison the next day....whoo...what a trip...
Spring Break Roadtrip
As everyone was heading out for Florida and sunny weather (over Spring Break), we set sails for Iowa and Minneapolis for an upper midwest road trip. Easter egg hunting at Nana and Bulls house in Iowa City and spotting baby owls in the backyard trees, then off to Clear Lake, where it's always fishing season (rain, snow or shine) - and of course, haircuts by Didi. From there, we went up to Minneapolis to spend the next 4 days with friends. Our major accomplishment was staying at a different house for 7 days straight. Packing up blow up mattresses and lugging luggage everywhere we went. We are very fortunate to have such awesome friends that allow us to invade and crash.

Adele Opening Presents
The big thing lately on Youtube is kids watching people open things (presents, toys, easter eggs, etc). These videos will get 15M+ views per video, insane. Well, Adele and Winston are really into them...so Adele asked if she could save some of her presents and open them after her birthday party (so we could record her and post it on Youtube). Here it is...
Adele's Birthday Party
Adele celebrated her birthday with all of her (girl) Compass classmates (she was very clear that she didn't want boys attending). Along those lines, her party was a Regal Cinemas for the early showing of Cinderella (only fitting for our little twirly princess). As you can see, Adele is in all of her glory when she's the center of the action. Wouldn't have it any other way...
