When I Grow Up
Adele was begging to have her hair cut after watching Didi cut Dad's hair. She's such a copycat these days.
6th annual? Shrimp Boil
Todd and I can remember that we had at least one of these before the new house was built at the lake so that would make it 6 unless there was another one at the (now) rental home. This has been a fun family tradition and we've learned you can never have enough shrimp or cheddar sausages!
Hot Days
So brutal hot outside so we have to get creative. Trip to Lowe's in the morning to ride lawn mowers, sit on the toilets and then enjoy the swings. Afternoon is slip and slide and now winding down with some cartoons in the basement (not so creative, but I'm tired).

And then there was one...
More Iowa City Favorites
Todd and I had a wedding up at the lake in June so the girls stayed with Mon, Dad and Ryan. They made a trip to the Farmer's Market and to City Park.

Baldes Family Fun
While back in the IC we got to enjoy some good family time with our close friends. We had sushi and gluten free cupcakes and Brad took out the hornet nest under the stairs while Ry and Dad pretended to be helping.
Ladies Night!
J-Bird and I drove up to the Lake for our first experience of The Landing in June. I left the girls with Mom and Dad in Iowa City and Winston stayed at home with the babysitter. It was a much needed night out. Good music, good food and great company.

Happy Birthday USA
We hit up a community parade near our place. Short and sweet and no traffic. Just the way we like it when it's smoldering hot outside. They had a band, a few horses, lots and lots of candy and a Taco. Veda said it was "lovely."
Overheard
Veda to Dad:
When I'm older I'm going to be really really tall and I'm going to be a drummer and I'm going to live at home forever.
