Iowa City Recap
Nanny and Bull had the girls to themselves for an entire week. We were so happy to see that they kept them very very busy. They had an activity planned every day and Veda can't stop talking about all the fun she had. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking such great care of the girls;) We hope you had as much fun as they did.
Taking pictures of Bull taking pictures;)
A visit to Mammal Hall
The splash pad at the park! The girls love to swing!
Of course you can't visit Nanny and Bull without a trip to the ice cream store... where I started working when I was 14. Hope Dane's Dairy never goes away!
Multiple trips to Iowa City Park where Veda met a new firend;)
Hanging Hummingbird Feeder with Bull. Veda told the birds to watch out for snakes? Stange but good advice.
The Raptor Center. Veda couldn't tell me about each and every one she saw and of course she captured pics with her hitech Toy Story camera.
Shopping with Bull at Fareway Waiting impatiently for the cookies
A visit from Rylie, Carson, and Janice
Parting shots. Veda instructed Bull to make sure Elmo made it into the photo.
Dancing and coloring at the public library
Playing with her Iowa City buddies Jessie and GabbyTaking pictures of Bull taking pictures;)

Church in the Park
We love love love church in the park in downtown Clear Lake. It was Veda's lucky day because ballerinas danced on stage today along to the music. She told me later that she wanted to be a ballerina when she grows up so she can dance at church.
Fishing for Deer
It doesn't get stranger than this. Clearly this deer got turned around but luckily Veda was fishing out on the dock with Papi and was able to point "Bambi" towards dry land.
Update: Aunt Kel submitted this to the local paper (Mason City Globe Gazette) and they featured it... Yahoo.com picked it up and the story was on their homepage for several hours.

Security stopper
Todd got me this new Braun ion tec hairbrush. Its powered by batteries and uses ions to smooth your hair. Or something like that. It really is pretty amazing but has caused me a lot of extra time in the security lines this week. This morning I even went so far as to demonstrate its usefulness for a crowd at security checkpoint 10 in Kansas city;)

We made a quick trip to the park and pool before Todd and I headed to the airport. Nanny and bull are on their own for the rest of the week. Good luck!

Dreary day
Well we made it to Iowa city. We wanted to hit up the friday night concert downtown but it gained last night. We headed out this morning with our swimsuits on hoping for a visit to the pool. 60 something and wet so we are killing time at the mall. Sorry to steal your thunder bull and nanny.

Teddy Bear Tea Party
We gathered the neighborhood kids and threw together a teddy bear tea party over the lunch hour this weekend. It quickly turned into a sword party - luckily Teaquen owns enough swords to outfit all in attendance! I thought this was harmless until Veda told me the other day that she was going to "cut someone with a sword and make them bleed and died them" Hummm..... No swords for Veda!
