Adele celebrated her birthday with all of her (girl) Compass classmates (she was very clear that she didn't want boys attending). Along those lines, her party was a Regal Cinemas for the early showing of Cinderella (only fitting for our little twirly princess). As you can see, Adele is in all of her glory when she's the center of the action. Wouldn't have it any other way...

Valentine's Day
Forgot to include this one. Kathy goes all out for V-Day for the kids. Lots of balloons, streamers, presents, etc. Needless to say, they had a great time.
Adele's Pearl in the Ear
Always keeping it interesting, Adele stuck a pearl bead in her ear (while I was in Kansas City of course.) Kathy took her to the doctor to get it out, they couldn't do it, so they sent her to the ER, who also couldn't get it out. So, they referred her to Children's Hospital (which of course wasn't open on Friday night, so we had to wait until Monday). When Kathy got her into the ENT pediatric doctor, he look at it, pushed a metal stick in there, turned the bead, hooked it and pulled it right out (as he said, yep, 3rd one today).
Happy 5th Birthday Adele
Our little wild child. Always keeping us on our toes. She is full of life and energy. We lover her so much. At her 5 year check up, she measured 40 inches (20 percentile in height) and 38 lbs. (50 percentile in weight).
Big 12 Tourney Champs
Had an awesome weekend in Kansas City with my old college roommates from Iowa State. ISU won three nail biters in a row (over Texas - last second shot, Oklahoma - after behind down 15 and then KU in the championship game). Super fun time, even got to hang out with Gary and Diane (and then a quick photo with Brent Musberger at the Kansas City airport).
Spring Time and Dead Gophers
The snow is melting and its time for spring cleaning, which means...dead gophers in the garage? While this picture shows some sad faces, there was a lot more interest and amazement (Winston might have wanted to put him in his pocket).
Dad's Homework
We've been working on a project with 20th Century Fox recently for their new release of Night at the Museum 3 (on DVD). We needed some shots of kids participating for our collateral, so Veda, Adele and Winston were happy to help out. They even got a free DVD/Blu Ray of Night at the Museum and The Book of Life (which is one of their favorites) for their participation.
Royal Hanneford Circus at Cincinnati Gardens
We opted for the '2nd tier' of circus shows (Ringling Bros was also in town at US Bank but 3x the price). To be honest, I think we got the better deal. Great show, lots of opportunity to go down on the floor and interact with the animals and front row seats. Bears riding motorcycles, high wire acts, lion tamers, elephant rides...it was a great show (and about 3 hrs long). Adele opted for getting her face painted while Veda wanted to go on the elephant ride. Cincinnati Gardens is 66 years old (pretty cool older venue), so that was a nice little bonus.
Rocket Man in the Queen City
Kathy and I went to see Elton John on Feb. 27th at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati with our friends Megan and Jody. Great time, capped out with dinner at Moerlein's Lager House on the River.
Lunch Date at Toot's
Yep, thats the real name of this place, or as Adele calls it, 'Farts'...sounds appetizing, right? Its mainly because they have an iguana and video games.
Snowstorm in February
Not much snow through Christmas and January this year, but we got hit with a couple big ones in February. This last one we made a family of snow-people. They lasted for about a week, then temps started warming up quickly.
Happy 3rd Birthday Winston
Happy birthday buddy, we love you! At Winston's 3 year check up he measured at: 32 lbs (50th percentile) and 38" (60th percentile).
