It was very fitting that it was lawnmower day at Home Depot. Winston's vehicle of choice. And what's a trip to Home Depot without a ride on the porch swings.

Memorial Day Weekend In Iowa
Pics from our first summer weekend of 2014 in Clear Lake. Was good getting back home after being in Cincinnati for most of the winter. The kids couldn't wait to get back to The Landing (especially Adele to get her green olives). Grandpa Gary traded in the golf cart for a jet ski and the kids LOVED it...will definitely be fun the rest of the summer.
Stopped in Iowa City on the way back to Cincinnati and had time to go down to City Park for the kids to ride rides with Nana and Bull. Good times.

Washing Cars, Again...
Adele is starting to get pretty creative for step stools. About 2 min after this photo, they traded stools, I was taking a picture and of course the tricycle rolled out from under Winston and he got a pretty nice scrape on his arm and back. Parenting at it's finest!
Adele's 4 Year Stats
While this post is a bit late, here are Adele's stats from the doctor at 4 years old. At her appointment, she giggled the whole time and kept asking 'What's Next' and 'When do I get my shots?' She's still a peanut, but she has the biggest personality in the world. We love her to death...
- 16th Percentile in Height
- 35th Percentile in Weight (at 34 lbs.)
Secret Shopper
Winston loves going to the grocery store. He's actually the easiest of the three kids because he takes so much pride in pushing the cart. Rarely does he get distracted (except to take a look at the lobster tank) and is actually quite good at navigating and not running into other shoppers. He also unloads all groceries on the conveyor belt, even though he is a bit under-sized.
Dell's Party
Adele's friend Carter had her birthday party at Horsefeather Farms up north of Cincinnati. They specialize in wallaby's (as pictured here with the Wallaby Whisperer). That's some weird sh*t these people are in to...but more power to them...anyway, the kids had fun...
Easter Weekend
Great times with the full Laabs side of the family. Easter egg hunt and even time for a family photo op.
New Toys
Our good friends Geoff and Lori let us take this off their hands...don't worry, it's battery operated, but works nicely in our new backyard.

On Feb. 26th we closed on our new home in Cincinnati and officially move in on March 10th (at least that's when the movers arrive)...So long for now Minneapolis...

Adele's Birthday Party
Even though Adele's birthday isn't for a couple weeks, we decided to have her party before we left Minneapolis (so she could have one last day with all her buddies)...We did it at Edinborough Park and invited ALL of Adele's classmates. Ended up having 22 kids...big crowd, but Adele had a blast. She even scored a few more stuffed animals for her collection. Was kind of amazing to see how perfect all of the gifts were for her. Was pretty funny watching her open them all last night and the sheer amazement with every new present. Guess her classmates and friends know her well.
Winston's Hair
Winston got to spend the night at Didi and Papi's house last night. Grandma Didi pulled out her old blow comb for some fancy hair styling (same thing she used to do with my hair when I was about Winston's age)...

Barbie Dreamhouse at Mall of America
Took a quick trip to the Mall of America this morning (as Veda had been begging to go). Lucky for us, they just opened up Barbie's Dreamhouse...little girl heaven. While Adele couldn't get enough of the makeovers, dress up, pink boas, etc..Veda was pretty content being a spectator. Adele is certainly going to be our girly, girl...Veda, not so much (which Kathy kinda loves)...
Corner Table Part 2
Our 2nd Annual tradition of going to Corner Table for the 12 course meal with our friends the Triggers and the Schwemms. Another great time had by all, as seen by the before & after pictures.
